Deep Dive: Animating and Educating

Each month, we’re picking one of our projects to highlight. We’re kicking off the year with a series of videos that dug into what’s below our feet. The soil in the Red River Valley isn’t like that anywhere else in the world. It’s helped make the area dividing North Dakota and Minnesota the “breadbasket of the world,” but it comes with significant challenges for engineers.

With the help of geotechnical engineers and a senior construction manager, we scripted and designed Soil 101 and, because it’s a big topic, Soil 201. They’re part of a series of introductory, educational videos used for the Fargo-Moorhead Area Diversion project. We also interviewed a couple of geotechnical engineers for our Faces of the Diversion series.
