We aren’t in this for awards, but it’s nice to have validation of the quality of our work. We recently took home a stack of awards from the North Dakota Professional Communicators conference.
Our president, Amy Wieser Willson, won the Sweepstakes Award for having the most points for awards received, which is calculated based on the place earned and the level of competition in each category. We wish her the best as she advances to the national competition!
Other Neon Loon awards and the judges’ feedback include:
- 1st Place in News or Feature Releases – Multiple Releases
- “This is a fantastic example of using multiple releases for the public. … You received amazing coverage on this, and I do think it is in direct correlation to the work you’ve done promoting it. Others should look to this as an example of releases done right.”
- 1st Place in News or Feature Release – Single Release
- “Another impressive piece. I am inspired by the (Neon Loon client’s) releases and their design, way they are written, the graphics, the photos and their videos. This is a prime example of how construction releases should be done.”
- 1st Place in Infographics
- “Your design effectively condenses a large amount of data into a clear and visually engaging format while maintaining strong brand consistency. … [It’s] a well-executed and highly functional design that communicates complex data in an accessible way.”
- 1st Place in Public Relations Campaign – External Communications
- “Wonderful job creating various avenues and medias to represent your campaign. Seems to hit the audience from multiple angles utilizing consistent look/feel for overall effectiveness.”
- 1st Place in Social Media Presence – Nonprofit, Government or Educational
- “Great job on your presence on LinkedIn. LinkedIn can be a hard social platform to get attention on, especially for a government page that people sometimes aren’t apt to follow. The use of your color blue throughout your posts is evident and you do a good job consistently posting. I enjoy your use of videos and, most importantly, being able to use employees as the face of them. Keep up the good work.”
